The ten cuts on the CD ironically offer little opportunity to really click boots on the hardwood; the title cut is actually a ballad about an old, forgotten dancehall and the need for getting back to roots. "Go Tell Papa" is probably the most conducive to kicking up one's heels with its fast tempo. On the other hand, there is ample time on the album to hold a partner and to sway across the sawdust floor on songs like "I Can't" or even "Spilled Perfume." On the whole, Dancehall Revival is more about sitting back and enjoying than about active participation.
