They broke through to enormous pop success with their debut album, which sold four million copies. The follow-up, Shadows and Light, got off to a fast start in the spring of 1992. Although the album was successful, selling over a million copies, it didn't have the staying power of their debut. Wilson Phillips broke up the following year. After a decade of activity apart that included solo albums, marriages, kids, talk shows, movie roles and televised operations, the trio got back together in 2003 to record an album of California songs. The resulting album entitled California was released in May of 2004. This exquisite piece of retro music history is a vinyl sound recording (not a CD).
